The story of The Screamer Four years ago Laura brought home a kitten. He was good at first. He was playful and appeared to like us. We decided to keep him and we got him neutered. Our neighbor is a Vet Tech and she came over and neutered him on top of our washing machine in exchange for a 6-pack of beer. After that, the cat became distant. It was soon clear that he didnt like or trust any of us. Laura wanted him to be an inside cat and she instructed us to never let him out. But this cat hated all of us. He acted like he was in prison always looking out the window. He would claw you if you tried to pet him. So, one day, I accidentally kicked him out the door. He stayed gone for 3 days. But then he came back. He only came back to eat. Each morning he comes to the door and makes an awful meow/scream noise until we let him in and feed him. He comes in and is strictly business. He doesnt want you to talk to him, he doesnt want you to pet him. He doesnt want to hang out. He comes in, eats, and then he wants out immediately. After eating, he runs to the door and makes his noise until you let him out. And then you wont see him again until the next morning. Thats why we re-named him The Screamer He likes us now, but only when we are about to put food in his bowl or let him back out. I have never seen or heard of a cat like this before. Most cats pretend to like you.
