The story of the crucifixion shows that the disciples counted the hours of the day from sunrise and not sunset. Yəhoshua was put on the stake at the 3rd hour, the sun darkened at about the 6th hour, and he died about the 9th hour. If the hours were counted from the previous sunset it would mean that he was put on the stake at what would correspond to our 9 pm, the sun got dark at 12 am (midnight), and he died at 3 am. If the hours were counted from midnight as some claim the manner of Rome was, then he was put on the stake at 3 am, the sun got dark at 6 am, and he died about 9 am. However, if the hours were counted from sunrise, he was put on the stake at 9 am, the sun got dark at 12 pm (noon), and he died at 3 pm. Which one makes the most sense? Also in Acts 2 on the day of Shavuoth, Kepha said that the disciples were not drunk because it was only the third hour of the day. Would that correspond to our 9 pm, 3 am, or 9 am?
