The struggle is real! Johnny still has such tremendous pain that every little move of his transfer to the wheelchair, takes everything out of him! His Dad and I try so HARD NOT to hurt him during this process, but he still does! We know, and so does he, that he has to move more in order to recover properly and not get any other infection, (in his lungs), but he just gets so defeated he cant do more without passing out from the pain. So it seems like we are in a vicious cycle, give pain meds, eases pain, but makes him so sleepy. Hold back on the pain meds and he is writhing in pain. I feel so alone in this process, always second guessing if I am doing everything right...sometimes I feel like I am failing him, even though I am doing ALL that I can. We really thought him being home would speed up his recovery, but I feel like we have not made any new progress!! Pretty down in the dumps! I need your strength Lord, please guide me to help my son the absolute best way possible. Please put your hands on Johnnys new leg and ease the pain, so he is able to move more. One good note, is that his leg looks good, the actual wound is healing nicely. No infection! So we are doing that right! I wish I could speak to another mom or child that has gone thru this, maybe they would have tips or methods that worked for them. We are following the page on Nick, who has gone thru this, but I dont want to intrude on their precious time that he has left. Please continue to pray for Johnny, he needs it now more than ever!! FIGHT FOR JOHNNY!
