The students from Bastyr arrived yesterday. We are having so much fun! We went to a beach on Whidbey island to learn about and harvest Grindelia, Mugwort, Plantain, Lomatium, and a whole bunch more. They made a Grindelia flower remedy (getting rid of stuck ideas/behaviors/issues), and brought home their harvest for medicine making. Today, we will travel up to 3,000 to dig in the dirt and learn about mountain plants. The Saturday apprentices will be coming to the homestead shortly to learn Hugelkultur and haybale gardening. The chicken coop and pen is almost done....wait until you see all the pictures! People are just getting their breakfast, so I am taking this time to check in with you all, and say hello. I hope you are having a terrific weekend!
