The study doesnt mention what self-objectification does to women, - TopicsExpress

The study doesnt mention what self-objectification does to women, but Im betting that if a study was done comparing how often everyone (male and female) posted pictures of themselves to social media when they feel bad about themselves vs. when they feel good about themselves, it would equalize the results. I dont think that its a psychopathy / narcissism thing as much as a confidence aspect (but, its probably true that there is some significant degree of correlation between confidence, psychopathy, and narcissism). If youve historically felt bad about yourself (e.g., your weight, your appearance, etc.), but have recently improved (either by accepting yourself, or losing weight, or whatever), you might just post more pictures to social media simply because you are beginning to finally like and accept who you are.
