The stuff we hear in church This is the house of God, leave your funny attitude at the door, leave your degree and job title outside the church building, youll get it afterwards. Who do you think you are? David was a king yet he danced until he was half naked! so stand up now and dance for God, we are not here to play, we are here to pray A worship leader who says this to the church has BAD MANNERS and is yet to understand what worship is all about. There is a man from Zambia called Nicky Kalonda who used to lead worship at Gaborone Bible Life Ministries many years ago. I never got the privilege to talk to him BUT by just observing from a distance, I learnt one thing from him; *worship is intimacy with God, and when youve been intimate with Him, it will naturally spread like a perfume, to those you are leading. Its infectious. No struggles And then in 2005 I met another Zambian, Martin Daka and his precious wife Jane. Martin doesnt talk much to people, when leading worship. Hell just stand there and worship the Father. You will just weep. My point is; if you ever stand before people to lead worship, just go up there and have a heart to heart moment with the Father, youll be amazed just at how easy it is for God to trigger that worth-ship exchanges with his children. So next time dont force people to do anything, and keep quiet about their degrees and titles. They didint get those from the devil. (Stop abusing Gods people and making them feel bad when they dont jump to your tune, worship is much much more than that)
