The subtler and finer nuances of Pancham music often get marred - TopicsExpress

The subtler and finer nuances of Pancham music often get marred when thousand of watts blare out melange of sounds. Remember such a thumping number like Pyar Karnewale was recorded first with four instruments only. Several immortal tunes touched the innermost chord of our soul because of the sound that comes from minimal yet imaginative and thoughtful use of instruments. These songs show that it is not always that the more the merrier, rather, the less, the more sublime it sounds. Rhythm and Blues focuses on this trait of Panchamda’s music. It will highlight the finer details of Panchamda’s sound that often gets covered by the redundancy of sound. Three pillars of the legendary court of Panchamda’s will grace the evening to showcase the uniqueness of the use of those instruments. Amrutrao Katkar is one of those legends who was associated with Panchamda almost from the inception of LORD’s journey. Panchamda gave a new life to the instrument named Resso Resso which was hardly heard in the songs of the time then. None but HIM could make use of the instruments so tellingly in countless of his compositions. Amrut ji is the pioneer figure who gave shape to Panchamda’s imagination in his music. Amrut Rao Katkar’s son, Viju Katkar was a revelation when he came to a Euphony show a few years back to be precise in 2009……….the true Rhythm Kings in all respect This multifaceted percussionist stunned the audience with his ONE MAN show with a plethora of instruments and those who had missed the event will get a rare chance of witnessing this feat of the gentleman. What he did on that August evening of 2009 in Pancham Beats still rings loud in our ears.We still remember that blue attire moving around on stage with Ankush Bhai mesmerising the crowd with his individual skills.Indeed Spectacular!! And last but not the least, the man who has been charming us with his inimitable trumpet sound will be gracing the stage with something none has ever thought of forget about seeing. Alongwith Saxophone and Guitar, Trumpet ruled LoRD’s compositions for decades and this living legend will show us the use of trumpet in four decades of Panchamda’s compositions. Admirers of Kishore Sodha will rediscover this great musician because of the widest possible range of his trumpet blowing and not just a lead player among the group. This show will showcase and explain how Panchamda used this unique Brass Instrument in his compositions be it the interliude or the preludes or even its use in the Coda of some songs. And other than the Trumpet Kishore Ji will also be showing few other things that has never ever been shown in our shows. And that’s why the tag line goes……………………Unleashed from Chhote Nawab to 1942ALS And the icing on the cake will be the chalta firta encyclopaedia of Panchamda music, Mr. Ankush Chinchankar. The man whom we missed in our last show due to some professional engagement is the 1st person to be booked for this show one month back.Such is the fan following of our loving Ankush Bhai…….. So all set for the 17th April show.
