The sun making its last peek from under the clouds. Much of the - TopicsExpress

The sun making its last peek from under the clouds. Much of the afternoon was gloomy, so at sunset, it was the last direct sunlight we got! It was a pretty beautiful sight... Pic taken from around San Jose, CA from up at The Point Church. (Friday around sunset, January 9, 2015; 4:59 p.m.) *Weather scenario and forecast: The high pressure ridge which had brought us dry and mild weather has weakened as a frontal system and low pressure approached our area this day. This frontal system was weakening though. The south portion of this system was to move into Central and SoCal this day and into Saturday. Even a few people reported rain showers in SoCal! NorCal was to see partly cloudy skies. By Sunday afternoon and Monday, a low pressure trough was to drop southeastward through the Pacific Northwest... The southern end of this system was to move thru our region and may trigger a few light showers over higher elevations with a chance of sprinkles elsewhere late Sunday and Monday. Its now January, so wheres all the rain? The longer range forecast looks like a low pressure area was to move through the state late next week with light to moderate precipitation... then again its a wait and see process for now.
