The sunni muslim religion originated in the saudi states, & for a long time that area was our greatest source of oil. We went in & instigated all of the wars in the middle east to protect our oil interests there. The whole time we were protecting the Sunni Muslims who controlled that oil interest. We protected Kuwait a predominately Sunni state from Iraq a predominately Shia state. Then we invaded Iraq because it was no great deal if all of those Shia muslims got killed in the process.For years we spent all of our resources protecting sunni Muslim oilfields; & what have we got for it? They hate us more than they do the Shia enemies they once hated.
