The support I have from AMAZING women in the plus size industry - TopicsExpress

The support I have from AMAZING women in the plus size industry makes me smile. Someone, or a few who are all in the same circle, said, I make them look bad by sharing my before and progress photos. That promoting my workouts was not good for plus size women. That it is something I should keep private. Interesting as so many of them have been getting into shape. There is NOTHING wrong with loving yourself on your journey your way. There was so much tunnel vision in this particular circle, that they NEVER took the time to read what I shared. It fit into a box they didnt want shown. I could not get away from this type of mentality fast enough, and left I did. No one should tell you how you should do you. It can make people close to you uncomfortable, it reveals truths in themselves. I am so happy that several of them are now taking better care of themselves. They are still rocking their curves! Thank you to the countless models, brands, and others who have supported me from their hearts. Loving yourself means taking care of yourself in what ever way is best for you. NO one should judge you. At the same time, if you see a friend in health distress, are we are real friend if we dont support their health and fitness efforts? Or encourage it? We are all on a journey. Just because we are thick, doesnt mean we cant be fit. A special shout out to those plus size models who do workout. Showing that #fithasnosize This is why I became a plus size model 15 years ago. To move that message forward, and even with my ups and down, 15 years later I am still sharing it... my way... on my journey..... for whoever cares to follow or be inspired. I am NOT here to make everyone happy. Heres to proud curves who continue to show that plus size does not equal obesity.
