The surgeon says my incisions are healing nicely, no sign of - TopicsExpress

The surgeon says my incisions are healing nicely, no sign of infection, and come back in six months! I asked him about all the numb spots Im feeling (or rather not feeling) and he says they will probably always be numb. He gave the go-ahead to drive so I did a little driving this afternoon. It felt so liberating! Dr. McKiever wants to do an ultrasound of the ovarian cyst on Monday and some blood tests to determine a tumor marker number. He feels at this point that the cyst is something we just need to carefully watch, but the tests on Monday will give us more information. I felt well-taken care of by him and his staff. Tomorrow we will go back to Andersons Hospital - this time for Dr. Billups to remove a suspicious mole from Roberts back. Please be in prayer that all will go well. Good Morning America reporters did an excellent job this morning of supporting the Go Pink initiative. Those ladies really do know about breast cancer and all the emotional ups and downs that go along with it. They validated all the feelings I have had throughout this journey. Two things they talked about really hit home. The first was that the need to hang onto everything and anything that is normal. Continuing to work was something normal and something to hang onto; I understand this need all too well. I am so thankful that I work in a place which allowed me to work and the time I needed for treatments, tests, and doctor visits. The second topic was the need to let the tensions loose through crying in the shower. My shower cries, as it turns out, are therapeutic and normal. Good job, GMA!
