The talented students from the Southside Community Center visited the museum last week. They did a mystery hunt in our new permanent gallery and then they each created a mobile about themselves, what they like, and what is important to them. This is part of the initiative between our two organizations to teach children that their stories and their personal histories matter. They are always excited to have their work displayed in the museum, which gives them a sense of ownership and comfort in the museum. The mobiles will be on display at the museum for 1 month and then will be moved to the Community Center.
