The team split the holiday weekend, and today was my day off. I felt it my duty as a good citizen to drive over to Napa to check on things there. Someone needed to be responsible for making sure that everyone at our favorite vineyard was ok, and that the wine is still drinkable. Except for the oldest buildings downtown, I saw very little damage. I do hear that there was quite a bit of a banner years worth of 2013 lost, as it was still stored in unsecured barrels, so yes, there was some crying over spilled wine. I did my part for the economy over there. A few recent clients will get yummy treats. Seriously, from the looks of the traffic into Napa, a LOT of other people had the same idea. The nice folks over there are great stewards of the bounty of that valley, and I know theyll be fine. Well just have to do a little extra sipping for a while to help them out.
