The tears had stopped flowing and finally she mustered up the courage to tentatively near the window. Placing her hand on the wall, she stood to one side, looking at the outside world without any chance of being seen by anybody outside. It had been days since she dared look outside, so broken was her heart and so fearful was she that she would come upon him. In truth, she wanted to shrivel and evaporate into thin air so she would not have to face anybody, especially the man who had her in this sad state. As she stood there, she eyed a bright blue sky and felt the warmth of the sun on her cheeks, and somehow she felt more at ease and breathed a sigh of relief. She began to question herself, wondering why she was hiding. The tears had turned into fears and for the first time in her life she had become an introvert, but that was going to change, she thought. Its a big world out there, she told herself, and there are 7 billion other people, and there just had to be at least one person who would love her for who she was and who would see her as more than just a pretty face. Slipping on her heels, she opened the door and ventured out, vowing to start anew, forgetting the past and looking forward to the future.
