The tenets of Atheism are summed up succinctly in a statement made - TopicsExpress

The tenets of Atheism are summed up succinctly in a statement made by Dr. William Provine, himself an atheist: “Naturalistic evolution has clear consequences that Charles Darwin understood perfectly. 1) No gods worth having exist; 2) no life after death exists; 3) no ultimate foundation for ethics exists; 4) no ultimate meaning in life exists; and 5) human free will is nonexistent.” Thus, if atheism is correct, why spend countless hours and massive amounts of money to berate and correct the poor fools who seek to include an imaginary god in their daily lives? Regardless of the answer given to this question, the atheist still has to contend with #s 3, 4 and 5. Lonnie (RevLon)
