The the urban life and accompanying environment is one full of opportunity and can, when the right kind of people are drawn to it, become a mecca for progressive thought and meaningful advancement, it is also the slough of despond of every civilization. A breeding ground for every form of degeneracy and decline known to man. Indeed, it was Cain himself, the first biblically recorded murderer, who took the life of his own brother for no apparent reason who also founded the first biblically recorded city. Say what you will about country folk, but no one ever moves to the city to escape the rigors and chaos of the country. ;)
