The theater that agreed to show the Penn State documentary 365 Days for our Chapter this year needs help from the community. They need to convert to digital technology, as all Hollywood films will soon only be available in digital format, rather than the 35mm format that most independent theaters, like the Varsity in Chapel Hill, currently use. Without this conversion, Chapel Hill will likely lose one of its landmarks (it opened its doors in 1927). Theyve started a Kickstarter campaign to raise the $50,000 necessary for the conversion. Considering the well-known philanthropy of Penn Staters, we thought it might benefit them to share their effort with our members. Plus, as the ONLY Triangle theater which agreed to screen the PSU documentary for us, maybe we owe them more than a simple Thank you!
