The theme for International Credit Union Day, October 16th, 2014, is ‘Local Service. Global Good. In celebration of Autumn AND Credit Union Day, the Quesnel Branch has brainstormed and come up with a number of fun fall events... including the #getpiefacedtoendworldhunger challenge! This challenge is simple - get piefaced and donate an item to the food bank or donate a minimum of $10 (or all of the above!). Our own Kim Matthews completed the challenge (check out the video) and nominated, among others, Fort St. James Branch Manager and Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility: Joan Burdeniuk. Lets see you get pie-faced, Joan! The idea for this challenge is to do local good for our communities by gathering items for our food bank... and to raise funds and awareness for the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF) who assist in global efforts to end poverty. We want to see what Integris can do for our local and global communities!
