The theme for next weeks Days of Remembrance is Confronting the Holocaust: American Responses. With this theme, we mark the anniversaries of two events--the voyage of the St. Louis and the deportation of the Jews of Hungary--that invite us to reflect on the responses of the United States to the widespread persecution and mass murder of the Jews of Europe.
