The theme for the day: Others before yourself. This morning I approached a women that has experienced loss this week and I let her know I had prayed for her family and that I loved her, before the conversation was over, in the midst of her terrible loss she turned the conversation on me and asked me if she could do for me this week by bringing a dinner to my family after my surgery, I am humbled that in spite of her issues she took time to minister to me, second part of my lesson for the day, God gave me my birthday dinner. Mike asked me yesterday if I wanted to go out today for my birthday because I will be out of it on my actual birthday this week, I told him, no, we need to save money and just stay home this afternoon. God is so good to us that he sent someone all the way from the state of Missouri to pay for my birthday dinner (they didnt even know it) and I guarantee it was a better dinner than what we would have chosen for ourselves. It truly is a good thing to be a child of God and to see the love of Christ shown by a fellow brother/sister in Christ, we got a message in word and in deed today. I pray we can pour out the love of Christ on others like it has been poured out on us. The title of the message at lunch was We are a Dead Sea if we are not pouring our lives into others. Faith without works is dead. We really need to look past ourselves and our own problems and love on others. Sometimes The Lord will use object lessons to speak loud and clear to his children. I am so humbled at the love of Christ that has been shown by my family in The Lord.
