The thing about Capone.... he is the proverbial great personality. If I was setting you up on a blind date with him, I wouldnt spend a lot of time on his looks, I would talk up his personality. He will never turn heads. He will never win a cute contest. Yet every person who meets him is completely enamored with him. Like I said, it is the personality. He is continuing to make great strides in his domestication. He has recently graduated and is no longer sleeping in the kennel at night. He now has free reign of the house, and he is killing it! He is getting over his door jam/floor transition quirk! He is learning that when I am talking to him, it sometimes mean I am asking him to do something (sit, back, off, down) and he is starting to listen for voice commands. He is the best house dog, if you dont mind petting a dog from sunup to sundown. He is great with kids, and when I say great, I mean great. We by no means take lightly the interaction between him and our toddler. We watch him like a hawk, we watch all of our dogs like hawks when they are near her. She doesnt know boundaries and she cant read body language, so we are protecting them as much as we are protecting her. So trust me when I say, he is harmless. And this very dog who can snuggle on the dog bed with the toddler is the same one who can play for hours in the back yard. Him and our youngest lab are relentless when they are in the yard together. Despite the ferocious looks in the picture, they are in reality just a couple of clowns. Capone is ready for his forever home! Know anyone? Please share his picture and his story. He has been through so much, his resiliency is deserving of the best that we can give him!
