The third quarter medical mission was successfully conducted at barangay Talavera on September 13 with 371 residents that availed the free consultation and free medicine from Hinatuan Mining Corporation. The number of beneficiaries was learned based on the number of prescriptions made by the doctors. Along with the company physician, Dr. Oliver Dennis Lao, is Dr. Ma. Carmen Tantoy from the Municipal Health Office of Bacuag. Both were assisted by the active and participative barangay health workers of Talavera together with Ms. Janette Navarro and Ms. Ruth Cayasan, the barangay midwife and nurse, respectively. The regular activity was part of the programs and activities under the health component of HMC’s Social Development and Management Program or SDMP in close coordination with the rural health unit of Talavera and the Municipal Health Office of Tagana-an #NACcares #HMCSDMP #HealthIsWealth
