The third work of Mario Agrifoglio that I present is 1988, 70x70 cm. The title is incredibly so. The work on the left is lit with sunlight, to the right the same work is illuminated under black light (black light) The theme represented is the Wconvergences. Technically the Wconvergence is the reduction to a single color, under black light, of different colors under sunlight. Beneath the simplicity of the representation, obtained by the author, actually is hidden a considerable theoretical complexity. Works such as this show the limits of the theory of color, in fact, a work like this can not be reproduced typographically if not publishing two separate photographs. Agrifoglios works also show the full control of the defect metameric reached by the author, although is probably an understatement to speak of metameric defect illuminating work alternately with sunlight and with black light.
