The tight election race unfolding in New Brunswick has been placed on hold because of technical problems with the electronic voting tabulation system. A spokesman for Elections New Brunswick says the agency is having a technical problem with the tabulation machines it is using to count ballots. Paul Harpelle says there are problems uploading data from memory cards and officials are working frantically to resolve the delay in getting final results tallied. Elections New Brunswick said counting was suspended at around 10:45 p.m. With the majority of polls reporting, the Liberals were leading and elected in 25 seats with the Tories leading and elected in 23. Green party Leader David Coon was leading in a tight race in the riding of Fredericton South.
