The time between the end of the tarawih/witr-prayer and the sunrise in Denmark is very short. Only about 2 hours. So mostly these days I do not go to sleep before sunrise; sometimes I cannot go to sleep at all, and I have a feeling this will be one of such insomnious nights. After sunrise-prayer I usually sit and watch the sun rise across Oresund, the lights of Sweden beyond the dark ocean. Allah´s creative powers never cease to amaze me and fill my heart with deep love for both creation and Creator. I have noticed, at work doing night shifts, that quite a lot of elderly and sick people die just after sunrise. I think there is no better time to leave this world than at the very moment where you see the sun rising above the horizon, pushing darkness away. The world is holding its breath, waiting. A new day is dawning upon mankind, and that day is like a white sheet of paper. Anything can happen. And Allah knows best.
