The time for Australia to step up and genuinely join the global effort to defeat Ebola is now. That Ebola has hit West Africa’s poorest people the hardest is why Australia’s aid efforts needs to remain squarely focused on the core task of ending poverty through providing support for the basics; clean water and healthcare.
