The time is now... We (Bakalanga) are not Bangwato and we do not want to be part of mephato ya bone. We might be living in the Gammangwato territory (Bamangwato Tribal Territory) as stipulated by the false Botswana constitution. I say false because it is well documented that the whole country was never fully consulted when this constitution was adopted from the British colonisers. It makes sense why all were never consulted. Bangwato chief (Seretse Khama) took advantage of the then passive Batswana to give Bangwato this big chunk of land they call Gammangwato. As long as the people feel that the constitution was imposed on them, this tribal territory nonsense will come to an end. But please, we are not yet in the ring for our tribal territory as Bakalanga to claim what is rightly ours. While we are waiting for the 2014 bout to claim what is rightfully ours we do not want anybody making that looking like it is too far. WE ARE NOT BANGWATO, WE ARE BAKALANGA. Gare diruiwa, gale kake la re rua. Maybe, just maybe lo kile lwa ruwa bo ntatemogolo-a-rona. Certainly not our fathers. We are educating our headsmen who strongly believe gore ba lo kolota sengwe. They honestly believe they get their allowances from Serowe. They believe Serowe is law. I once told them in a Kgotla meeting that they should send a delegation to Serowe to ask for independence.
