The top priority for senior leaders in major political parties is to find a safe seats for themselves, be it Modi or RG. But 2014 has thrown some substantial exceptions. For instance, Babulal Marandi could have registered a comfortable victory from any parliamentary seat in Jharkhand. But he decided to take on Shibu Soren in his stronghold of Dumka. Likewise, Dushyant Chautala could have chosen an easier constituency for his launch in electoral politics, but he entered the fray in contest with Kuldeep Bishnoi. Despite being extremely critical of his methods and madness, I am convinced Kejriwal will pose significant challenge to Modi in Varanasi. The game is getting interesting.
