Magistrates have considerable power over the lives of citizens but under the pretext of their necessary independence , it is the only profession not having to account for its decisions. It is not surprising , under these conditions, there are errors, many more than those who believe never had to do justice. Miscarriages Magistrates are sometimes corrected with judicial remedies . ( when they are available , and do not drive ad infinitum despite the right to an effective remedy) The disciplinary offenses by Magistrates , including their heavy malpractice ( omissions or misinterpretations of facts or the law so severe that they could not have escaped their authors ) are never sanctioned privilege they are alone possess . Magistrates that control other Judges were first concern for the preservation of the image of justice , a concern that happily coincides with that of their corporate solidarity ... Victims of justice can not attack the magistrates . They must first address the state , they are almost never . Moreover, in case of conviction of the state and while it can turn against the magistrates , he never exercised that power.
