The tough bridge Democrats have to build... The average American only concerns themselves with things that directly affect them. 24/7 their lives are me, my, I They dont understand how Wall Street affects their lives. They don’t understand how Mitch McConnell’s financing determines the cost of their utilities or how Monsanto determines their health or how technology determines their children’s future, etc., etc., so they tune-out when the talk goes through the layers of politics. (Being they don’t have the money to invest or don’t make minimum wage, or can’t afford solar energy or don’t have a lawyer, etc… they go back to watching Duck Dynasty). What they see with Mitch and Boehner and Cruz and all the rest of the corporate whores is: issues like gun control and what they deem are an assault on their freedom. They have a gun so Mitch is protecting them or their uncle works for a coal company so Mitch is protecting their uncle’s job, etc… “Yeah Mitch!”). If McConnell ran his campaign on keeping John Deer tractors green hed be their God. I can explain the political process, in great detail, with pictures and graphics in a way a 6-year old child would understand - and I can show them what each politician does, exactly how DC works, the direct marriage with Wall Street and big business and how it all determines their current lives and the future of their families and friends…….. but I can’t make them read it.
