The tracking could definitely have been better but it still turned out OK .. not great, but OK. BTW, the point of light that passes above the Moon during totality is nothing mysterious .. its just a faint background star appearing to move due to the Moon moving a few degrees in its orbit during the hours of the eclipse. The exposure times during totality were long enough to image stars as well as the eclipsed Moon. (Frank Cianciolo / McDonald Observatory)
