The transition from summer to fall has been less than desired. - TopicsExpress

The transition from summer to fall has been less than desired. While I love fall and its differences, I miss summer and all of the things that kept me outdoors and active. I miss my hands in the warm soil. I miss going out to my garden and eating fresh food right off the vine. I miss the pride I felt when I looked in my garden and saw my growing success. I loved that I could simply go out to my garden to get something healthy to eat, rather than running to the store to get something that I have no idea where it came from nor what went into growing it (chemicals and such). As I sit here doing light therapy to keep my moods up, I miss the natural daylight of the warm sun. So as I acknowledge the things that I miss, I turn forward and look to the beauties of fall and how I might turn this into something good (other than all of the housework I am getting done!) I will be looking for different ways to keep active, especially in the rainy weather. Now that I have lost some of my weight (25 lbs) I want to make sure that I am doing what I can to continue my journey of improving my health. The doc says I need to get my blood sugar down or I will have to go on meds. I am getting the weight off, however I need to increase my exercise, without shelling out money for a gym membership. I am enjoying finally being able to get away from the house more and do things. I think the meds are right for now. I am enjoying helping friends and look forward to doing more of that in the near future. Raven Shelly Lyon will get some of that love this week. It will be so good to have her in town. Let me know if there is something I can help you out with. I love to help people move and help them organize. I am quick and efficient, they dont call me hurricane Vicki for nothing. So that is what I am up to and some of my immediate goals. It is important to re-evaluate them on a regular basis, I hope that everyone takes some time to re-evaluate your immediate goals and make sure that you are on the right path, for you. Namaste
