The tree is the most sacred symbolic in human history because it represents the connection between heaven and earth. The tree grows above as below. Think of what the tree provides; shelter, heat and food. When you look closely at the design you see two sides to the tree. The two sides represents the male and female aspect of nature that grows out of the same earth, which is the bowl. This dual nature also sybolizes positive and negative forces of nature, as well as day and night.
