The trees that were felled on the Western bank where the digger - TopicsExpress

The trees that were felled on the Western bank where the digger was working via the warehouse last Thursday can be identified from the comparison pictures. Two were quite substantial. These are likely to have been nesting trees for the bats. They disappeared without being left to be naturally abandoned by the protected species. Did Diageo / the Council get permission to fell the trees? And did they follow correct procedures re the bats? If they didnt follow the rules the question might well be asked, why? Whats the great panic about skirting responsibility? But then, whats a few trees? When theres PCBs? On reading about poly chlorinated biphenyls and the need to burn them at 1200 degrees to destroy them, the problem for Diageo is not small. And the risks of the chemicals re estradiol simulation and the nurturing of breast cancer etc make the idea of young women - even in white suits - potentially breathing in the disturbed PCBs unnerving. And then theres the land where the contaminated brewery soil was dumped. Where citizens are blissfully unaware of the dangers. More than just a bridge. Wheres this going to end?
