The trip from essouira to Las Palmas took us about 74 hours, it was not as pleasurable as i would have wanted; we were sailing as much up wind as possible to maintain a good course, so we were constantly healing and water is flushing over the boat all the time. As a consequence we were able to locate a couple of new leaks here and there, leading to a constant and allover damp boat. This is all well and good, it is to be expected. But when the furling rope for the genua sail snapped (again) so the sail had to be taken down. Oddvar broke a joint and was useless, the big genua is not any good in strong winds, so we decided to use the engine, witch was leaking fuel (we barely made it all the way with about 10l left in the tank), both the sailing and motor lanterns stopped working. We were using the engine 85% of the time which is exausting. So now I look forward to calm down here in Las palmas and make the boat ship shape again. But first the farewell party for the ARC! :)
