The trouble with politicians as a whole, regardless of alignment, - TopicsExpress

The trouble with politicians as a whole, regardless of alignment, is that they seem to be hot-wired to dodge the simple questions. Any and all of them, take your pick of politician or debate. Salmond was asked why was it that on the Scottish government Chicago Ryder Cup visit., did he stay in a fancier hotel than the rest of the delegation. He did didnt answer the question giving La Lamont an oppertunity to go on and on and on about it.... and he looked foolish and dodgy for this. Why didnt he just say that it gave him a chance to shmooz up to some influential people in private? Or anything, maybe even the reason itself? Another thing that seems to be built into the politician programming is that they all, without exception, keep using this nerve grating phrase; The point Im trying to make... Wake up the lot of you! If you have a point, make it! Stop all this trying business, just Make The Point. Keep it short and snappy. And try answering questions in a straightforward easy to follow fashion rather than trying to make points.
