The truth about many of the worlds most creative people is that - TopicsExpress

The truth about many of the worlds most creative people is that their gift comes at a great cost. Their vulnerability supplies the truth and inspiration in what they do but the flip side of that can be the internal torture we dont see. I heard it said once that if the horrible sadness in the world doesnt devastate you and bring you to your knees at times, then youre just not paying attention. Williams was paying attention. He really tapped into the fragility of the human spirit. He was not a classicly trained actor so when we saw his vulnerability in Dead Poets, Patch Adams, Awakenings, Good Morning Vietnam, Good Will Hunting... and on, and on... we were seeing him, opened up wide. As another wise man once said, you cant fake that shit. Its one more reminder for us all to reach out CONTINUALLY to those around us getting beat up by the world. As to Williams, I just wish he was around for even 24 hours more so we could all say thanks for so many laughs, for the manic creativity and, even more importantly, thanks for telling the stories you told in a way no other person could have. I feel so sorry for his loved ones and those that knew him well... I never even met the guy and feel like crap for losing a hero and inspiration.
