The truth is... Im posting here in behalf of all those enduring martyr-readers of DLSHSI Secret Files who just want to grammatically correct everything that gets posted. Yes. We are somehow disappointed (devastated actually) as to how students at a prestigious institute such as our own are not adept at the proper use of grammar (in both English and Tagalog --but lets just focus on the former rather than the latter). Im not saying you dont have a right to express yourselves, nor am I saying you dont have the right to do it in English. And, by all means, I(we) understand the content of your messages despite your grammar. I am contemplating at my acknowledgement of this obsessive-compulsive, perfectionist behavior. It has been controllable so far (because its not like I have the actual disease: just particularly habitual). So heres a shout-out to all who feel the same, whether from this institution or another. Please dont discriminate against us just because we are only a few people who are sensitive to the issue of grammar. And if you have a friend who is particular with your grammar (to the point where he/she corrects you often), realize that s/he has the guts to do that to you because s/he cares and trusts you, and therefore, does not want you to be ridiculed by others (unless your friend haughtily corrects your grammatical errors in front of everybody--thats obviously judgement and ridicule).
