The truth is that none of this stuff is rocket science. Want to get bigger? Lift weights, get enough protein, eat a caloric surplus, and maybe increase your volume a bit. Want to get lean? Keep lifting, keep eating enough protein, and maintain a caloric deficit. Thats probably about 75% of it. To get to 90%+, you can talk a little more in depth about macronutrient composition, exercise selection, training volume/intensity/frequency, and some basics of periodization. Still really basic stuff that most people have a grasp of. - Greg Nuckols
