The two articles Ive shared which have been re-shared, liked, and deemed most reasonable and balanced by all sorts of people (Jews, Muslims, Christians, atheists, anti-Israel folk, anti-Palestine folk, even a Buddhist and a Zionist) were posted by Dr. Ali A Rizvi and Dr. Sam Harris. Now, Ive posted plenty things from plenty of other people who are just as smart amd just as well educated as they are. What is the unique thing they both have in common? They are atheists. I think its evident that the thing which helped them to have a more balanced approach to the issue is that they dont have skin in the game. At least much less than anyone else. Some of my smartest friends are Jews and Muslims. Yet nearly all of my Jewish friends who have told me their stances are either pro-Israel or anti-Palestine. And my Muslim friends are mostly pro-Palestine and hashtagging #solidarity . These things cannot be coincidence. This conflict is, at its core, a tribal conflict. Therefore most peoples opinions are based on the accident of birth (as most peoples religion is a product of the accident of birth.) I will repost the articles in the comments.
