The two candidates for the Virginia House of Delegates special election stood before two chambers of commerce and real estate agents Tuesday morning and jockeyed for the middle of the political road, by northern Virginia standards. Both Rick “Rip” Sullivan (D) and David M. Foster (R) told the 70 business people they support more money for transportation, endorse the Dream Act for young undocumented residents and want the state to accept the federal money slated for Medicaid. The differences came in the level of commitment each had to those issues, and whether they can illuminate those differences in time for the Aug. 19 special election.
