The two leading Parties , BJP and Shiv Sena , in their similar views except in the extremism of the latter today , should not find it difficult to join hands , and form a government for the long and short term good of the State of Maharashtra with the hub of the Country.s financial affairs in its Capital . Pragmatism and a real politic attitude may win over the rough edges . No body in the Country can deny the sanctity and the respect for Hinduism , one of worlds greatest religions and the basic humility and tolerance it has displayed throughout history . Its subjugation by the Mughal Empire in its overbearing rule except in Emperor Akbars benevolent regime , and the British giving the Muslims a somewhat added prominence in their divide and rule policy , gave birth to the ideas which dominate Shiv Senas policy to day . The Congress Party in its misplaced perception over many decades of the compulsions of religion in the vote bank in elections had only added fuel to the fire to blaze more prominently , particularly in the State of Maharashtra . It created apprehensions and mistrust in the minds of the people of other faiths and in different parts of the world of the entire Hindu community . It was somewhat unfair and too spontaneous , causing unending harm to the Nation unity and the Country welfare . The BJP today in the wise and timely revision of its policy , has blazed a new path in the Country with response from all faiths and communities . It may be real politics and a wise guideline to strictly follow to maintain the trust it has inspired at the elections . Shiv Sena may , in its wisdom , and a fresh look at the Countrys future where a steady and unfettered progress can be maintained only with a joint effort by every section of the Nation , and without the unwanted hurdles which may be put up by vested interests and agents provocateur in communal affairs . Such revisions in policy may well be conducive to achieve the desired levels in unity , a pragmatic approach for national progress and with the least impediments on the way . Extremism in religious and social thoughts only lead to militant polarization , and destroys the fractured factions . There is no political future in any Party with misconceptions on extremism in religious and communal thoughts in its road map , until it is charted fresh giving directions to overall progress in the great strength of unity . One hopes that wisdom will prevail in one of the most visible States in India , and it will show the world a solidarity it has achieved in governance for any one to be proud of .
