The two weeks of intensive preparation for our trip is now complete. Our classes here at Brandeis University have ranged from international relations to art to history to literature and cinema. We have spent over 60 hours in class the last two weeks, most days from 9 AM to 9 PM, studying Israel. A number of our instructors have actually come from Israeli universities and will meet us once in Israel to show us in person what weve learned about. It has been intense, to say the least, but incredibly beneficial. I feel I have learned so much already. This has been a great experience thus far. Tomorrow we head for JFK in New York and on to Israel. We leave at 7 PM EDT and arrive in Tel Aviv at noon Israeli time (7 hours ahead of EDT). Though I am tired from a grueling couple of weeks, I am excited about what lies ahead. Hold a good thought for us tomorrow as we make our way to a land seen as holy by three different peoples.
