The umbrage I have noticed X-Genners take is that transplants tend to create a fantasy about rural, bucolic lifestyles, and overlook the fact that we have guns, farmworkers, farm animals, farm equipment, etc. and the noises, smells and inconveniences get in the way of the modern conveniences left behind in the city. The message they want to send is: You gotta take the spoils with the sweets. And just for the record: I am from RENO, which has an elevation of 4,500 ft, so I aint no flatlander!
