The unfair, unjust and unnecessary changes the ConDems have made to the State Pension Law are having a devastating effect upon the lives of decent, hard-working people and their families. Please support this campaign and show this government that we will not tolerate their lies, deceit and contempt for us any longer. The comments below are from people who have signed the petition and give an insight as to the distress and misery the changes have caused. “I see my mum and others having almost reached pension age, only to be told they have to work longer - horrendously unjust. “Moving the goal posts after the work has already been started or is almost done should be looked on as a crime. The fact that some people are deliberately not affected by this is also criminal, it’s definitely a form of discrimination.” “I signed because it would make sense for us to retire at 60/65, when we have worked all our lives and give opportunities for the younger generation to work and earn their retirement. How can the government expect us to work until we die? We pay into our pensions, we should be entitled to them”. “I have just retired but due to my date of birth cannot receive my state pension until I am 67 - 7 years away. No time to make alternative arrangements before this was bought in”. “As far as I am concerned I entered into an agreement at the age of 18 that I would receive my pension aged 60 (3 1/2 years away). I feel that this is breach of contract and to be told within a few years of retirement that the eligibility conditions have changed is unjust and unlawful”. “By moving my pension date back by 17 months the Government have taken £17,000 from my pocket. And into theirs.” “I signed for the good of the people and my children and grandchildren who will have to work till they drop !!!!” Like others have said. I started working at 16 to retire at 65 not till Im on deaths door. This will only benefit the better off who can retire early and have never doe manual labour.
