The unruly tongue. We wonder why churches arent growing. We wonder why people that came dont come any more. Is it because of something the pastor didnt or did do? We often want to place blame on the man of God when we need to be examining ourselves. We love to gossip and talk about one another. We love to place each other down and have spirits it control with our mouth. Then people see this and the world wonders where the difference is. When they see no difference in the church. We place our tongues on the man of God or the woman of God. And kill them. We want to quote scripture and say this is wrong or thats wrong. When if you would shut your mouth and stop flapping your mouth about people and sowing dis-cord and just pray for that person. Destroying someone with your tongue is not showing the love of Christ. We argue about carpet, about the building and we neglect our buildings in the process. Jesus called the Pharisees vipers and hypocrites. You tare down one another with your mouth. And sow seeds of discord and destroy unity. People leave churches all the time for various reasons. But you let attendance go down then lets point the finger at the pastor. Its his fault. He has no vision he has no control. Well lets look at the church members. Examine your self. When is the last time you went to church? Whens the last time you prayed for the man of a God? Make sure your life reflects the love of a Christ and you are doing the commandment of The Lord. Jesus said people will know you are mine because you have love one for another. But killing with your unruly mouth the man of God or the people of the church is nothing more than being controls by satan himself. He is the father of lies and the sower of discord and destroyer of unity. When is the last time you called a member that hasnt been back? When is the last time you fulfilled the great commission the great commandment. Jesus didnt say just pastors go out and make disciples. No he said go you out and make disciples. Oh you forgot that because you are too busy tearing down the man or woman of God just so you can rain over the local church. Sure showing love with the spirit of Jezebel you have allowing control to come in. Simply put what happen to Jezebel? She tried to touch the man of God and he struck her down. Be carful what seeds your mouth sows. What you plant you will harvest. What are you planting? Lets stop tearing down people with our tongues and start lifting them up. Even Jesus had to run the money changers out of the church. Dont allow the enemy to use you and lose your first love. The church at Ephesus lost their first love and God removed their candle stick. Dont have your candle stick removed. 2nd Corinthians 13. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice atwrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
