The upcoming election is subject to the new Voter ID law. You must present one of the approved photo IDs to cast a ballot. If you do not have an approved ID, you will be allowed to cast a provisional ballot but you will only have 6 days to present proper photo ID to the county voter registrar. Without proper ID, your vote will not count. Students, please note that a student ID is NOT one of the approved forms of identification. (You can, however, use your CHL. Which makes me wonder how many people are going to take their guns into a school to vote.) Follow this link for more information about the new Voter ID requirements and acceptable forms of identification.
