The urology team has decided for the time being even once she is back home that regardless of her urine output she will need to be ino cathed every three hours. We will start with one week of this, and if her symptoms do not improve it can turn into a long term thing. She has been diagnosed with a bladder condition in which her bladder is 3 times the size it should be for a child her age, and it fills 8-10 times more than it should, because of this, her bladder over fills, stretches and becomes hardened, making it nearly impossible to drain on her own. By cathing every 3 hours, her bladder will have a chance to soften and hopefully shrink back. We are praying that it was caught before any permanent damage has been done.
