The use of Military men in addition to the Police and other security operatives to ensure peaceful conduct of elections in Nigeria at this time of our political development is a wise decision. It is what I will call a quick win while we continue to sensitize the Nigerian electorate on the need to imbibe political tolerance, avoid violence, mob action and jungle justice as reactions to perceived injustice. As we continue our political development, there will come a time when the Millitary will no longer be needed during elections. Only the Police and the security operatives will be required to carry out their statutory duties.
