The value of the human life does not consist of possessions, skills, education, popularity, or success....it consists of the praise that can be offered to God. Consider Helen Keller beside Kobe Bryant. One certainly has more earthly value, but the other has brought honor to God and to us as a species. And regardless of belief, we recognize this beauty because we are all created out of something infinitely beautiful.
